Personal Care Attendant
How long have you worked for Ontime Healthcare?
I joined Ontime Healthcare back in April 2018. Before that I was working for an Aged Care facility as a casual staff member. One evening I was working a shift and I met an agency staff member from Ontime Healthcare. She spoke very passionately about the agency and expressed how great the flexibility and choice were. The next day I joined up.
What is your favourite thing about working for the agency.
I do love the flexibility of agency work. But also, the way Ontime Healthcare goes above and beyond for my needs. If I ever have any issues or miscommunications at the workplace, Ontime Healthcare staff are always there to speak to. I have only had good experiences with Ontime Healthcare, their management of shifts to ensure you are getting what you need is very important to me. I feel like they are my family.
What do you enjoy most about being a PCA?
I have always enjoyed caring for people so been able to give direct hands on help for the elderly is very fulfilling. I always go above and beyond for my patients and it feels great that I am doing all I can to ensure they are been cared for. Most of my patients call me Nora, I always try and remember their names but it is so hard trying to remember so many.
Where is your favourite place to visit on holiday and why?
I really enjoy travelling. Recently I visited my grandchildren in Szekesfehervar in Hungary. It’s a beautiful city, with lots of old buildings and architecture. It used to be the city of kings. I would love to visit Taiwan, Cook Islands and other exotic places.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
I have a Diploma of Reflexology so I love to spend my spare time at my home clinic helping clients. I practice a range of disciplines including Naturopathy, Crystal Healing and I am also a Reiki Master.
